NASHVILLE, Tenn. (December 4, 2013) - Creation Festivals, producer of the nation's largest Christian music festival, is bringing its four-day line-up of top Christian performers, speakers and family-friendly activities to a new Northwest location for 2014. Creation 2014 Northwest will be held July 30 to August 1, 2014, at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick, Wash.
Creation Northwest 2014 is expecting to average 10,000 to 15,000 people per day over four jam-packed days with some of the best musicians and family entertainment in the Christian market.
Creation Festivals was drawn to the Tri-Cities area for its temperate summer climate, many outdoor activities like boating and hiking, great parks along the river and scenic vistas along the historic Lewis and Clark Trail, which will provide for a great camping experience. Kennewick's central location between the four metropolitan cities of Portland, Seattle, Boise and Spokane make it a convenient travel destination. The festival was previously held in Enumclaw, Wash.
"We are excited that we will be hosting Creation Northwest in Benton County next summer," says Shon Small, chairman of the board of Benton County Commissioners. "I know that the festival-goers will enjoy what our community has to offer--our beautiful Columbia River, hiking our Badger Mountain, and our delicious local produce."
Called "the grandfather of all Christian music festivals" by Time Magazine, Creation Festivals (which includes Creation Northwest and Creation Northeast) are located in beautiful premier destinations. Attractions include six stages featuring performances by popular music artists in many genres and internationally-known speakers, as well as multiple events throughout the week, including an Extreme Fun Zone, kid's entertainment and activities, exhibit buildings and much more, all for one low price.
"It has always been our desire to hold Creation in a place where you can experience and explore God's creation," says Dr. Harry Thomas, Jr., co-founder of the festivals. "We also want those who attend to hear great music and receive practical guidance for living. We are excited to be in Kennewick and to bring Creation Festivals to such a great area of Washington, and together we will give 'A Tribute to Our Creator!'"
Creation Festival stages have featured current fan favorites including Owl City, TobyMac, Lacrae, Switchfoot, Chris Tomlin, Newsboys, Red, David Crowder Band, Hillsong Live, Casting Crowns, Family Force 5 and Building 429. Previous speakers have included Tony Campolo, Louie Giglio, Reggie Dabbs, David Nasser, Nick Hall and Ann Beiler (founder of Auntie Anne's).
The artist and speaker line-up for 2014 will be announced soon.

About Creation Festivals:
The Rev. Dr. Harry Thomas, Jr., and Timothy Landis founded Creation East in 1979 in Muddy Run Park in Lancaster, Pa. Since that time, the single festival has grown to two festivals on opposite sides of the U.S. (Creation Northwest was launched in 1998). The events bring together scores of Christian musicians, as well as Christian speakers and authors and a Kids Zone for a family-friendly event.
"Generations have come to the Creation Festivals over the years with an expectancy to see God move," says Thomas. "The Creation family works tirelessly year-round to lay the foundation for people to get away from their normal routines and come to give 'A Tribute to Our Creator.' Nothing can compare to worshiping with tens of thousands of people, being a part of the candle-lighting service, or even watching young and old be baptized."
While Creation continues to add to its overall entertainment and artist lineup, the festival has made a conscious effort to keep the ticket prices at a bargain price. Advanced tickets range from $39.00 - $99.00 per person for the entire four-day festival, providing the attendees with jam-packed entertainment, lodging and more all for about $25 a day. Creation offers free tickets to kids under 5 years of age.
Creation 2014 Northwest is scheduled for July 30 to August 2 in Kennewick, Wash.; Creation 2014 Northeast is scheduled for June 25 to 28 in Mt. Union, Pa. To purchase tickets and for more information, visit creationfest.com.
